I wanted to share a blog I wrote about the WONDERFUL healing power of green juice. Click here to see /the full recipes.
Liquid Sunshine Dis-Ease Can’t Tolerate!
At syncRAWnicity, we believe in following the laws of Nature. With the knowledge of our body’s ability to heal, we support that process by providing the power of the sun through the work of plants, in a liquid form that cancer/dis-ease absolutely can not tolerate. We call it Liquid Sunshine. Many may know it by the term “Juicing” or “Green Juice”.
The main ingredients in our liquid sunshine provide nutrient-dense “tools” that the human body recognizes and can use to heal damage, remove toxic buildup, and regenerate the body. We have chosen specific fruits and vegetables that support the specific imbalances in the body that lead to cancer cell overgrowth.
We use 2 Cucumbers because they are rich in potassium, which is the primary electrolyte inside our cells. Cucumbers help control fluid balance within and outside our cells. Potassium works in sodium-potassium pumps in cell walls which control the intake of nutrients and excretion of cellular metabolic wastes. This is a critical process for those suffering the imbalance that leads to cancer cell overgrowth. Toxins must be removed as fast as possible so that homeostasis can once again be regained and health will then return no matter what your condition. Potassium is also critical in transmitting electrical energy throughout our nervous system.
We use 10 stalks of Celery because it is a wonderful source of organic sodium that our body can use effectively. Sodium is the primary electrolyte outside our cells. In America, we have been scared into not using salt. If we choose salt that has not been filtered, bleached, and processed leaching out every other mineral except sodium chloride then we are making the right choice. Some examples are Celtic salt, Himalayan Pink Crystal Salt, and Hawaiian Black Salt. Sodium also works with potassium in the pumps which control the flow of nutrients in and wastes out of our cells as well as in transmitting electrical energy throughout our nervous system and helping to maintain blood pressure. If we do not have optimal electrical energy running through our system our body can not receive the signals it needs to understand what work it needs to do to ensure homeostasis is maintained and everything is running right.
We use 1 bunch of Kale because it is at the top of the nutrient tables in the majority of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, etc. It is one of the most nutritious foods available and is rich in chlorophyll, the blood of plants that enhances oxygenation of the body. Chlorophyll is almost identical to hemoglobin which is the oxygen–carrying molecule in our blood. The difference is that chlorophyll contains magnesium whereas hemoglobin carries iron. Chlorophyll carries carbon dioxide while hemoglobin carries oxygen. This is also evidence of our symbiotic relationship with plant life. We breathe in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide while plants breath in carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. Plants are the lungs of the earth! It is a very energy-efficient process for the body to switch the two which releases free magnesium for other activities. Magnesium is the master molecule of the human body and is needed in over 300 different processes the body performs. It is the catalyst of life.
Iron is taken from dietary sources and the body’s internal pools as red blood cells break down and are replaced. The sources of iron are important because our body can not convert iron shavings into anything usable. There are commercial cereals that actually use iron shavings and say that it’s fortified with iron (it’s cheap). Our body does not recognize this form of iron and thus will become deficient if this is the only source. Kale is rich in iron and critically needed to supply the right form of iron for our bodies. Chlorophyll is a valuable blood purifier and healer as well.
Kale is rich in magnesium which supports our nervous system and is the control switch behind the sodium-potassium pumps in our cell walls. Kale is rich in B vitamins also which support the nervous system and are very involved in energy production. Magnesium is also vital for the absorption of calcium into our bones and Kale conveniently supplies the needed calcium as well as vitamin C.
A not-so-well-known benefit of eating Kale is the amazing protein content. Kale contains over 40% protein by dry weight! Remember ALL greens and other vegetables and leafy greens are good sources of protein our body CAN USE. To learn more about the best sources of protein for the human body please read America’s Mantra: Protein.
We use 1 bunch of Dandelion Greens because dandelions are a natural potassium diuretic that helps to flush water retention without stripping potassium from the body. They also stimulate the kidneys to release toxins from the body more quickly. Dandelion greens provide a net gain of potassium which is very important and valuable. The mannitol that the roots and leaves produced in the spring are helpful in the treatment of hypertension and weakened hearts. Dandelion is also chlorophyll-rich, is mildly detoxifying to the liver, and improves the functioning of the liver and gallbladder. Gently helping the liver to detoxify is very important when dealing with imbalances that have to lead to cancer cell overgrowth.
We use a handful of Collard Greens which is another chlorophyll and nutrient-rich greens. All greens contain chlorophyll with darker greens containing more. Chlorophyll is the most effective for enhancing oxygen transport around the body. The darker green the better! Collards contain plenty of magnesium, iron, vitamin C. They are rich in vitamin A which is important for the integrity of DNA replication in skin-type tissues. Collards are a good source of vitamin K which helps control blood clotting and it’s also a good protein source.
We use a few stalks of Parsley which is high in iron, contains 3 times as much vitamin C as an orange, and is rich in calcium and magnesium. Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron from vegetable sources up to 4 fold and calcium and magnesium work together in muscle contraction and relaxation.
We use 1 thumb-sized piece of Burdock Root that supports phase 2 liver detoxification in which toxins are bound to other molecules, packaged in a non-toxic form, and readied for excretion. Burdock root also stimulates bile flow from the liver and gallbladder. Bile is necessary for fat digestion but also is important in neutralizing the acid contents of our stomach as they empty into our delicate intestinal tract. Without this chemical modification, the strong acids can damage the intestinal tract and compromise absorption of all nutrients, and lead to ulceration of the first part of the small intestine (duodenum).
We use a small knob of Ginger which is a wonderful circulatory stimulant that enhances the delivery of all
nutrients, through the bloodstream, to the cells. Ginger contains anti-inflammatory properties, helps reduce inflammation all over the body, and possesses “anti-platelet” activity, which helps thin blood and reduces the risk of clotting.
We use 1 lemon giving a wonderful source of vitamin C. Vitamin C is important for immunity and tissue integrity as is involved in collagen formation. The pith is rich in bioflavonoids which enhance the absorption and activity of vitamin C. The organic acids in lemons cause the body to alkalinize which in turn allows the body to release toxins from the lymphatic tissues, dissolves plastic residues built up in tissues, and creates an environment unfriendly to pathogens as well as cancer cells. Lemons are also rich in many B vitamins, are a great source of potassium and calcium, and adds an enjoyable tangy taste to our juice recipe.
We use 6 Green Apples for wonderful flavoring. Apples are a good source of vitamin C which is a necessary nutrient needed to turn the cancer overgrowth tide around. Apples also contain pectin, a fruit fiber that slows the absorption of sugars. This means that they do not have a high glycemic load on the pancreas allowing it to heal instead of being overworked as with eating heavily processed nutrient-deficient foods.
Sometimes we use 6 Pears instead of green apples. Pears are also a good source of vitamin C and contain pectin, a fruit fiber that slows the absorption of sugars. In spite of tasting sweeter pears often have a lower glycemic index than even green apples. It is important to keep sweets as low glycemic as possible as this is the primary energy source for cancer cells. Cancer cells can only make 2 energy packets (ATP) per molecule of glucose while healthy cells make 38 APT per molecule of glucose. The cancer cells will gobble up all the glucose they can to get their fill leaving the rest of the healthy cells very little to work with.
Sometimes we include some Tomato and Basil. Tomatoes are a good source of vitamins A, C, and E. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that helps protect cell membranes from free radical damage. They also contain lycopene, which is another valuable antioxidant shown to be effective in cardiovascular health and protect against many chronic illnesses. Basil is a good source of protein, vitamins E, C, and the B complex vitamins, is a good source of calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, and zinc. Zinc is important for our immune, reproductive, and many of the body’s enzyme systems. Zinc will actually render pathogens unable to reproduce thus shortening their negative effects on our body.
With this wonderful formula, you can provide your body what it needs to heal in combination with specific cleansing and detoxification protocols that will allow your body to focus its energy to clear toxic build-up, repair damage, and regenerate healthy tissue. The more you offer your body these tools the healthier you will become, the more “dis-ease” resistant you will become, and you will have the knowledge of the power of following natural laws. Remember there is no “cure” out there. The “cure” lies within. You have the power!!
To your health!
